When and where is the competition held?
The event takes place annually in Cambridgeshire in October. For 2026, the competition will be held on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th October 2026 at Fen Drayton Village hall
How can I participate as a groomer?
Register online via Eventbrite before the entry deadline and meet the eligibility criteria.
Are spectators allowed to attend?
Yes, the event is open to the public with tickets available for purchase online and at the venue. Details TBC however this will be ticketed.
What categories are included in the competition?
Categories range from creative styling to breed-standard grooming across multiple dogs.
Where can I see the competition results?
Results are posted on our Facebook immediately after judging.
How much coat growth do I need?
You need 6-8 weeks minimum coat growth, or enough coat for it to make a difference once the groom is completed.
What category do I go in if I’ve already placed with the breed of dog I want to compete with?
If you want to enter using a breed you have already achieved Championship level, you must enter Champion of Champion. You are welcome to enter Open if you have not competed, at Championship level, with that breed before.
Is there a fee to enter the competition?
Yes, there is an entry fee which covers participation and access to event resources.
Is there pre-judging?
There is no pre-judging at all at this competition. If there is anything you need to discuss with your judge, they will be walking around so you are welcome to talk to them during this time.
